The very first Australian Mushroom Festival!

On Saturday 14 and 15 October 2023, over 10,000 people visited the Queen Victoria Markets in Melbourne, to celebrate Australian Mushrooms on WORLD MUSHROOM DAY weekend.

Mushroom-loving festival visitors enjoyed Mushroom Masterclasses from celebrity chefs such as Miguel Maestre, Simon Toohey and Dani Venn, feasted on a range of delicious mushroom dishes in Mushroom Alley, and learned the unique way mushrooms grow with our interactive mushroom display.
